Tablespace Games is seeking a talented and passionate UI/UX Designer to join our creative team in bringing classic board games to life on mobile platforms. As a UI/UX Designer, you'll play a crucial role in crafting intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing user interfaces that capture the essence of beloved board games while optimizing them for mobile gameplay.
Tablespace Games is a dynamic mobile game studio dedicated to reimagining classic board games for the digital age. We believe in preserving the spirit of traditional tabletop gaming while leveraging modern technology to enhance accessibility and user experience.
Create compelling and user-friendly interface designs for mobile games, ensuring they are both aesthetically pleasing and functional
Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for game interfaces and user flows
Collaborate closely with game designers, developers, and artists to ensure seamless integration of UI elements with game mechanics
Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and improve user experience
Design intuitive navigation systems and game menus that enhance player engagement
Adapt classic board game elements and aesthetics for mobile screens while maintaining their original charm
Create consistent design systems and style guides for our game portfolio
Stay up-to-date with mobile UI/UX trends and best practices in the gaming industry
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field
3+ years of experience in UI/UX design, preferably in the mobile gaming industry
Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional UI/UX design skills for mobile applications
Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and Adobe Creative Suite
Experience with prototyping tools like InVision or Principle
Solid understanding of mobile design principles, accessibility standards, and responsive design
Familiarity with game development processes and ability to work within technical constraints
Passion for board games and understanding of their mechanics and appeal
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Experience in game design or development
Knowledge of animation and motion design principles
Familiarity with user research methodologies and data analysis
Understanding of mobile platform guidelines (iOS and Android)
