As we expand our catalog and scale our operations, we are looking for an Accounting Manager who can take ownership of our financial processes and support consistent, reliable growth.
Role Overview
The Accounting Manager oversees daily accounting operations, maintains accurate records, and delivers clear financial reporting. This role builds and strengthens the financial systems that support new product launches, distribution partnerships, and cross departmental planning.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing the general ledger and reviewing all journal entries.
Preparing month end close and maintaining accurate financial statements.
Ensuring strong internal controls and compliance across all financial processes.
Overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll cycles.
Supporting leadership through budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
Core Responsibilities
1. Financial Operations
Manage daily accounting workflows with accuracy and consistency.
Maintain the general ledger and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
Review and approve journal entries and reconcile accounts regularly.
Prepare balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Lead the full month end close process.
2. Internal Controls and Compliance
Maintain reliable internal controls that safeguard company assets.
Identify gaps and implement improvements to strengthen financial discipline.
Coordinate audits and support tax preparation with external partners.
Ensure timely, accurate completion of all required filings.
3. Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Oversee vendor payments and manage AP cycles.
Lead invoicing, collections, and tracking of outstanding receivables.
Maintain organized documentation for all cash movements.
Ensure payroll, reimbursements, and employee related payments are processed correctly.
4. Cross Functional Support
Work closely with operations, production, and leadership teams.
Translate manufacturing timelines and product planning into financial implications.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and evaluation of cost structures.
Provide clear financial insight that supports decision making and long term planning.
Qualifications
Proven experience managing accounting operations in a growing organization.
Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles.
Experience with month end close, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
Ability to improve processes and implement new systems that scale.
Experience with inventory or manufacturing is helpful but not required.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
