Role Overview: As the Community Product Manager, you will be at the heart of building and nurturing our app's communities. Your role will center around developing, managing, and scaling vibrant social communities within the SOULCHI platform. This includes establishing community guidelines, setting the framework for the community's engagement, and ensuring that community-building efforts align with our values and culture. You will also be responsible for researching the best strategies to create and scale these communities in a web-based and app-based platform, particularly through Mighty Network integration. Responsibilities: Community Strategy & Research: Lead the development of community-building strategies to foster a positive, engaged user base on the SOULCHI platform.Research user needs, behaviors, and preferences, leveraging data and user feedback to inform decisions and improve the community experience.Analyze the technical capabilities of Mighty Network and identify how to best integrate community-building features within the app. Community Framework Development: Design and implement scalable community frameworks that encompass both the main community and any vertical-specific sub-communities.Establish clear community guidelines that align with SOULCHI's values, ensuring consistency, inclusivity, and respectful engagement. User Testing & Feedback: Conduct regular user testing to ensure the community features are functional, engaging, and meet the needs of our users.Develop and manage community feedback loops to continuously improve the experience. Collaboration & Cross-functional Work: Work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to integrate community-building features into the app, ensuring technical feasibility and seamless user experiences.Collaborate with marketing and content teams to drive community initiatives and ensure alignment with overall product goals. Adaptability & Agile Approach: Embrace a flexible, agile approach to community management, adjusting strategies as the company grows and pivots.Be comfortable with evolving priorities and managing change in a fast-paced, startup environment. Qualifications: Experience: 3+ years of experience in community management or product management, ideally in a web or app-based environment.Proven track record of building, scaling, and managing online communities, particularly in tech-driven platforms.Experience with Mighty Network or similar community tools, or the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems. Technical Skills: Familiarity with agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle.Ability to work with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and design, in an agile setting. Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Ability to navigate ambiguity and pivot when necessary, keeping the community’s success top of mind.A self-starter, coachable, and capable of managing change effectively. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to create community guidelines, engage with users, and align stakeholders on community strategies. Equity-Based Compensation Opportunity: As part of the SOULCHI team, you'll take part in our equity-based compensation model, aligning your success with the success of our business. After much research we have found the fairest equity model for a startup. We use the Slicing Pie model. First phase is equity-based only, which we are currently in. Equity calculations move dynamically based on your fair market rate and actual number of hours worked. In the second phase, which happens at the break-even point, the equity freezes at each member's current earned percentage and compensation switches to salary + benefits.
