Summary
We are seeking a Junior Fashion Designer to support Designers and Senior Designers across multiple product types, helping bring seasonal concepts to life from initial idea through to final product. This role includes design support, product documentation, fittings participation, presentation preparation, and research across accessories, movement, and modern lifestyle.
General information
This engagement is focused on supporting the seasonal product design process across multiple product types. The designer will work closely with cross-functional partners including Development, Technical Design, and Materials teams to help keep product information organized, support milestone presentations, and contribute to thoughtful product execution.
The role also includes maintaining seasonal narratives and “Why We Made This” documentation, contributing research and inspiration, and building hands-on understanding of materials, trims, yarns, and knit structures while growing technical and creative design skills.
Tasks and Deliverables
- Partner closely with Designers and Senior Designers across multiple product types from initial idea through final product.
- Create and maintain sketches, CADs, line sheets, and presentation materials that communicate design intent, construction, materials, and functionality.
- Participate in fittings, design reviews, and cross-functional meetings, capturing feedback, tracking updates, and keeping product information organized.
- Collaborate with Development, Technical Design, and Materials teams to support strong, thoughtful product execution.
- Maintain and update seasonal narratives and “Why We Made This” documentation to support product storytelling.
- Contribute research and inspiration across accessories, movement, and modern lifestyle to inform the design process.
- Prepare files, mockups, prototypes, and assortment organization for milestone moments and presentations.
- Build understanding of materials, trims, yarns, and knit structures through hands-on involvement and team collaboration.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment while continuing to grow creative voice, technical skills, and design confidence.
Required experience
- 0–2 years of industry experience, including internships and placements.
- BA, BFA, or BS in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Strong interest in textiles, materials, and apparel design.
- Foundational design skills supporting garments that are aesthetically compelling, functional, and commercially viable.
- Ability to support mock-ups, tech sketch updates, and detailed note-taking during fittings.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas visually and verbally and incorporate feedback.
- Innovative mindset with curiosity around how materials and construction can improve athlete performance.
