  1. Job Summary:

Stark Industries is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Metallurgy Expert to join our cutting-edge Research and Development team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of metal alloys, their properties, and their applications in advanced technologies. This role will be critical in developing new materials and optimizing existing ones for use in a wide range of Stark Industries projects, including but not limited to armor plating, propulsion systems, and energy storage.

  1. Responsibilities:
  • Research, develop, and test new metal alloys with enhanced properties such as strength, durability, and resistance to extreme conditions.
  • Analyze the microstructure of metals and alloys using advanced techniques such as microscopy and diffraction.
  • Design and implement experiments to evaluate the performance of materials under various stress conditions.
  • Collaborate with engineers and scientists from different disciplines to optimize material selection for specific applications.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of material properties and performance data.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in metallurgy and materials science.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate research findings.
  • Troubleshoot material-related problems in existing products and processes.
  • Contribute to the development of intellectual property through patent applications.
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

  • B.A. Master's or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with metal alloys in a research or industrial setting.
  • Extensive knowledge of the properties, processing, and applications of a wide range of metals and alloys, including ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
  • Proficiency in materials characterization techniques such as microscopy (optical, SEM, TEM), X-ray diffraction, and mechanical testing.
  • Experience with alloy design and development using computational modeling and simulation tools is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with exotic metals and alloys, such as those used in aerospace or defense applications.
  • Familiarity with advanced manufacturing techniques such as additive manufacturing (3D printing) of metals.
  • Knowledge of Stark Industries products and technologies.
